Marco Mambelli is a scientist at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Marco had his first Argentine tango lesson in Italy with Alejandro Aquino and Mariachiara Michieli. Since then he has studied with several instructors, including world renown Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne, and Chicago’s own Somer Surgit. He was one of the founding members of the University of Chicago Argentine Tango Club in 2004, and has been an active board member until 2013. Together with Ray Barbosa, he has organized the Chicago Mini Tango Festival since the first edition in 2006. Argentine tango is a passion that he has been pursuing as a personal journey and likes to share with others.
